TopDogs Academy is led by Kanthan (Gan), the sole owner and driving force behind the academy.
With extensive hands-on experience in the dog industry, both locally and overseas, Kanthan has built a deep and well-rounded understanding of canine behaviour, training methodologies, and dog management. His experience goes beyond trainingÂ
— he has been actively involved in sourcing high-quality puppies internationally, working closely with breeders, and gaining in-depth knowledge of different breeds, their temperaments, and behavioural traits.
Through his overseas exposure, Kanthan has developed a strong appreciation for breed standards, early-stage development, and the importance of proper foundations in shaping a dog’s behaviour. This experience allows him to better assess, train, and manage dogs based on their natural instincts and individual characteristics.
Kanthan’s approach is grounded in structure, discipline, and practical training methods. He believes that effective training must translate into real-life situations, ensuring that dogs are not only obedient in controlled environments but are also confident and manageable in everyday settings.
In addition to training, Kanthan has played a key role in building and managing dog care environments, focusing on safety, structure, and proper handling. His experience working with dogs of various breeds, sizes, and behavioural challenges has enabled him to develop systems that support both individual training and group management.
